This summer, WorkHub had the pleasure of hosting a dynamic 3-week internship program with five incredible students: Marcelo Valenzuela, Alfredo Amparan, Sebastian Hess, Diego Suarez, and Zac Turner. Each of them brought curiosity, enthusiasm, and a drive to learn that made this program truly special.
Over the course of the internship, these students gained valuable hands-on experience in several key areas of our business. From understanding the land acquisition process to exploring the details of leasing agreements, they had the opportunity to see what goes into launching and sustaining real estate projects from the ground up.
They also got an inside look at the construction phase, learning how concepts become structures through planning, coordination, and execution. In addition, they engaged with multiple departments at WorkHub, gaining a well-rounded understanding of the collaborative work that drives our success.

Diego Suarez
"Throughout the internship, I gained valuable experience in real estate underwriting, broker communication, modeling business cases, and strategic decision-making in the early stages of commercial development. I found my experience enriching starting with the direct hands-on experience I gained by working with the acquisition team directly, meetings with city councils, visiting properties, and presentations of possible listings, all the way down to the lunch conversations with members of the team."
Zac Turner
"I developed a solid foundation of real estate during this internship, from comprehending important terms and market dynamics to investigating the workings of significant industry players. Analyzing actual construction plans and seeing how they adapt from design to actual development was a major highlight that deepened my understanding of the practical aspects of real estate projects."
Alfredo Amparan Alonso
"During my internship at WorkHub, I gained valuable experience in commercial real estate operations, including market and land research, lease negotiations, and property management. I developed strong analytical and communication skills while working on real projects that improved my understanding of the industry."
Marcelo Valenzuela
"During my internship at WorkHub, I gained hands-on experience in various aspects of industrial real estate. I learned to use ARGUS software for financial modeling and property valuation analysis, enhancing my understanding of investment viability. I toured both pre-construction and completed warehouse properties to gain insight into the whole development process from site selection and valuation to financing, marketing, and construction."
Sebastian Hess
We’re incredibly proud of Alfredo, Marcelo, Sebastian, Diego, and Zac for their commitment, professionalism, and enthusiasm throughout the program. Watching them grow over these three weeks was inspiring, and we can’t wait to see the amazing things they’ll accomplish in the future.
